Texas Rage in The Cage was founded by Noe Beltran (Noe B) and Maurilio Esquivel (Milo). Noe B. and Milo founded Texas Rage in The Cage with the intentions of paving the way for up and coming fighters to build up a good fight record by competing against the best in and around the state of Texas. The safety of our fighters and well being is the utmost importance to T.R.C.A.A.
Texas Rage in The Cage does not have any full time employees everyone at the moment is doing it for the love of the sport. Texas Rage in The Cage is a non-profit organization and will be using 70 % of our revenue to make every show bigger and better then the next one. Only 30% will go towards the total labor of each event.
Texas Rage in The Cage owns their own sight and sound equipement. They use a 22 ft 6 sided Cage with two entrance. When it comes down two it there are two people in T.R.C.A.A. who make the calls for all major decisions so there is no big committee that will tie up in any long meetings over a simple or complex question.
Noe B. and Milo have a combined 40 year fighting experience with a combined 20 yr experience in training fighters. They know what it feels like to be on both ends of the corner both as a fighter and as a trainer.
Texas Rage in The Cage is here for the fighters! Texas Rage in The Cage will be the biggest amatuer MMA show in Texas and in the southern United States. We invite you to be a part of Texas Rage in The Cage and have the opportunity to grow with US. As they say in Texas Hold'em "We Are All in!"
WHY HAVE AN AMATEUR RECORD?
It is not a requirement for someone to have an amateur record in MMA although it is highly encouraged. The only true way to test how well a fighter will actually be able to perform is to step in the Cage. The less experience a fighter has in the Amateurs the less he will likely be paid in the Pros.
If no one knows him and he has no record then it makes it harder for someone to want to pay him a decent amount. This holds true for the promoter aspect as well as sponsorship. If a sponsor does not know how a fighter performs in the Cage or how often he fights it is hard for the sponsor to want to take a gamble on someone. There are many things that can be learned about a fighter based on his Amateur record. Everything ranging from the chances of him winning the fight to how he will more then likely win it; not to mention if he will show up to a fight or make the required weight.
In the amateurs you come across many who believe they can make a certain weight and are then not able to fight because they are unable to make it. There are others who are still new at the MMA scene and do not know how to properly train for it resulting in injuries prior to the day of the fight making them unable to step in the Cage. Both of these issues will cause a promoter to fine the fighter at the Pros for not being able to fight; not to mention if the fighter develops a track record of not being able to fight due to anyone of those two he will less likely not be getting called up to fight at too many pro events.
No one knows how someone will perform in the Cage until they actually step in. To step in for the first time and loose because they were camera shy(lights, smoke, audience, and Cage) is hard to take at the Professional level. As an Amatuer your record is swiped clean once you go Pro but once you are Pro the record you have is the record you will maintain through out your career.
